Time makes its mark on the skin, leaving any number of damages, including pigmentation changes, uneven texture, and vascular lesions. We can safely and effectively treat these conditions with the Venus Versa IPL system. The IPL (intense pulsed light) is delivered into the skin where it is absorbed by the target we are treating to safely heat and cause destruction without damaging the surrounding skin.

What to expect during and after your IPL treatment

  • A thorough consultation and patch test is required to ensure suitability.
  • Treatment plans and frequency  vary depending on concern; however a marked improvement of vascular and pigment reduction can usually be seen after first treatment.
  • You will need to avoid suntanning including spray and rub on tans for at least 2 weeks leading up to your appointment.
  • Sunscreen and avoiding sun exposure is necessary prior to your treatment, especially in the week following.
  • A slight warm to hot sensation and a flicking feeling is common to feel during the treatment. It is not too uncomfortable and subsides quickly.
  • Some swelling may be experienced.
